Cape Cod
I don't know about you but I am bursting to get outside! The winter, while not too snowy on Cape Cod this year has felt long, wet and cold. I yearn to throw the kid's bikes on the back of the car and hit the Rail Trail for a nice long ride. It is hard to believe that the last time we traveled along the Rail Trail it was sunny and hot. The kids and I stopped to take a dip in one of the ponds and then treated ourselves to ice cream at the local general store. These memories are what keep me going all winter.
Anticipating the coming of Spring
Once the warm weather hits our family will be out in the yard; the kids will be biking, skateboarding, playing ball and begging to stay out well after dark. I will be puttering in the yard; not being much of a gardener I will clean out old leaves and twigs left behind during the winter storms. I'll mow the lawn and plant a few pansies so the yard will look neat and tidy. After months of bonding as a family indoors we all look forward to the welcomed change of spending quality time together outdoors.
I hope you all have plans for the same this season. Be sure to take advantage of all that the Cape Cod has to offer from it's beautiful and expansive beaches to long winding trails for biking and hiking, and plethora of festivals. So whether it is warm days working and playing in your yard or riding bikes on the Rail Trail, the Cape is at it's best in the coming spring and summer months.
